In the Spotlight: Kemmons Wilson Jr.

Kemmons Wilson Jr. is a widely recognized and respected leader in the corporate and civic world. In addition to serving as Principal and Executive Vice-President of Kemmons Wilson, Inc. and Chairman of the Board of Wilson Hotel Management, Kem is an active advocate of youth mentoring.

With Kem’s vision and significant support from the Kemmons Wilson Family Foundation, Second Presbyterian Church and MPACT Memphis jointly developed NEXUS in 2003 as a vehicle for the development and improvement of leadership skills, as well as a means for participants to make valuable connections with leaders in the Memphis community. Relationship is the key component of the NEXUS experience. NEXUS is unique in that it seeks to duplicate the experienced leader and develop the young, emerging leader through mentorship and relationship.

Kem has joined the Memphis Grizzlies Charitable Foundation on numerous occasions to promote mentoring and encourage the corporate community to engage with youth in Memphis.

We thank Kem for his leadership and example.
