Staxtacular 2010: As seen in person
Staxtacular 2010 lived up to its name as the biggest soul-shakin’ throwdown of the year on March 26, as hosts Zach Randolph, Rudy Gay and Mike Conley hosted an evening on March 26 that is sure to be remembered for years to come. View the Photo Gallery! Video of the event at the bottom.
Dressed in their finest threads that would have made Isaac Hayes proud, the Grizzlies trio met and mingled with guests and participated in a live auction that garnered thousands for the Stax Music Academy.
Two groups of lucky fans even got the chance to bid on the opportunity to take their picture with the hosts of the event in front of the iconic Stax Recording Studio sign outside of the museum.
The hosts weren’t the only people providing star power at the event, as they were joined by Grizzlies teammates Marc Gasol, Ronnie Brewer and DeMarre Carroll, Grizzlies Head Coach Lionel Hollins and the entire Grizzlies coaching staff, General Manager Chris Wallace, American Idol contestant and Memphis native Lil’ Rounds and Sean and Leanne Tuohy, who were portrayed in the acclaimed “The Blind Side.”
After dancing the night away and dining on gourmet cuisine from start to finish, attendees left with a definite spring in their step after experiencing another top flight event coordinated by the Grizzlies Foundation to help raise funds to benefit Stax Music Academy.
