MENTOR announces launch of group mentoring model
The National Mentoring Partnership, MENTOR, announced the start of two group mentoring programs here in Memphis. Based out of Power Center Academy and Freedom Preparatory Academy, the 16-month pilot program features teams of three adult mentors working with groups of nine students. Weekly activities address career exploration and entrepreneurship, health and wellness, team-building and leadership, cultural understanding and other areas supporting the schools’ values.
